Freelance Writer for your Blog

Still not convinced that you need to hire a freelance writer for your blog? Have you heard that doing so will increase your traffic, gain more exposure for your business, and free up hours in your day to tend to much more important things? But still you don’t have a blog, or a writer for it? If that’s the case, there are usually some fairly common reasons for business owners still putting off getting a blog, and a writer for it. And usually, those excuses don’t really amount to much except a loss in profits, and in your industry.

Many business owners don’t publish a blog because they think their industry is too boring, and that people won’t be interested in anything they have to tell them. They have a website so they can direct people to contact information and prices, but that’s it. When it comes to their blog, they don’t think they have anything of value to say, or anything the public would care about. And this just isn’t true.

For even the driest industries there are customers waiting to use them, and those customers are interested in your business – no matter how dull it may seem at first glance. It’s true that a blog should be used for general information purposes, rather than just another selling medium for your business; but you do have things to say about your business, even if you don’t know it.

Let’s say for instance that you’re the owner of a phone service. When other offices close up for the night, or when they’re unavailable, you answer their phones and direct messages to where they need to be. Pretty simple concept, so what do you have to tell customers? Do they really want to hear about the technology you use, or how your staff answers the phone? Well, it might surprise you to find out that they actually do. Consumers today can find out just about they want to about a company before they hire them. They know this, and because they always want to use only the best, they will find out whatever they can and it will be of interest to them.

But other than just running through the “duller” components of your business, you can also write topics about your industry that consumers will find very interesting. You could write a post about how to find a good phone service company; how much the average cost is to hire a service such as yours; and even topics on good phone manners and etiquette. Yes, all of this will be interesting and useful information to those companies thinking about hiring you! And often, the best place for them to find it is on your blog. If you don’t have one, not only will they be missing out, but you will too.

Blogs serve a much bigger purpose than just being new reading material every day. They’re a place for customers to become acquainted with your company, get to know you and your business, and find out what you’re really all about. If you don’t have a blog up and running, the chances are good that they’ll find one of your competitors that does.
