Where to Get Ideas for Blogs?

by Jenny on December 9, 2009

When you first start your blog you might have a lot of ideas of what you want to say, how you want to say it and when you want to say it.  In fact, it’s not a bad idea to think of the five major question starters for content creation on your blog. Those five ones are: who, what, where, when and why.  But, of course, don’t forget, how.

Who?

  • Have you talked about who you are on your blog? This would be a great opportunity to link back to your about us page or your company’s history page.
  • With the who question, you could also do interviews on your blog with your company’s employees, asking them the who, what, where, when and why questions.

What?

  • What does your company make or provide? If you have a line of products, for example, you can always make a bullet-pointed list of the products and have them link back to your main site.
  • What is your company’s mission? Share your company’s mission and goals with your readers. People like to watch other people suceed and share in their success.

Where?

  • Where is your company located? Why is it located there? Did your company start there?
  • Where is your company headed in the next 5 years? In the next ten?

When?

  • When did your company start? When are you headed to your next trade show? When is the launch date for your next product or service? When’s your next sale or special offer? When’s your next company’s anniversary? How will you celebrate?
  • When are you hiring Business Blog Writers to write for your blog so that we can brainstorm ideas for your blog and you can continue doing what your company does vest?!

Why?

  • Why are your products worth the money?
  • Why do you believe your product is worthwhile?

How?

  • How did your company get started?
  • How do your products work?
  • How are your products made? Why?
  • How many months in advance do you have to prepare product for sale? For example, do you have mattresses that take one month to make?

There is always plenty to write about with content creation. Certainly, you can alter your posts ever so slightly to write about the same thing twice – just don’t schedule them the same week and it’s probably best not to schedule them in the same month.

Business Blog Writers is here to take the weight of content creation off your shoulders. We can easily produce the content your blog needs quickly and efficiently because that is what we do!  Contact us to receive a quote.
